Benefits

Our training enables your workers to drive more confidently and safely and may help to reduce accidents and related costs in your workplace.

Training on site has the advantage of operators being familiar with the actual equipment and types of loads they will be using in their daily working environment. We understand the need for business continuity and will work with you to schedule convenient training courses to minimise any disruption.

Legal Responsibilities

The most important factor is safeguarding your employees in line with legislation under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. The Provision and Use of Workplace Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) states that

“Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training” and The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) stipulates that forklift operators must be adequately trained. Appropriate training will give you peace of mind that you have fulfilled your responsibilities as an employer in today’s blame & claim culture.

Accident Reduction

There were 142 fatalities due to forklift related accidents in the year 2014/15. The majority of these accidents were due to lack of operator competence. Apart from the human cost, accident related costs can be very expensive and forklift training will minimise the risk of injury to the operator, their work colleagues and in some instances, the public.

Increased Productivity

With the proper training an operator can increase productivity. Investing in   training will provide a better skilled workforce, increase staff morale and improve staff retention.

We take pride in the quality of our training and possess both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
